Dice has revealed the upcoming release of their second album, “I Thought The Altitude Would Make It Worth The View,” scheduled for release on July 31. Departing from the grit of their debut album, “Midnight Zoo,” this album explores a more expansive, blissful, and lighter world. With a total of 10 tracks, it serves as an anthem for radical self-reflection and liberation, showcasing a band that has found their own unique altitude.

The album announcement comes with the reveal of the new single, “Loose Change,” which is a euphoric reminder that taking risks and stepping out of one’s comfort zone is always rewarding. Crafted from a voice note and produced in Los Angeles with G Flip, the track was brought to life at Hollywood’s EastWest Studios by the 11-time Grammy-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli (known for his work with The Strokes and The White Stripes). While the upcoming album delves into a more sophisticated sound, “Loose Change” embraces the raw, sun-soaked energy reminiscent of fan-favorites like “Double Espresso” and “Stop Sign.” This track follows the release of the album’s first single, “COOLER.”

Regarding the track, the band states, “‘Loose Change’ is about taking risks and pushing past your comfort zone to achieve your goals. It serves as a reminder that success is a mindset, and anyone can attain their aspirations.” Consisting of Ben Hodge, Tom King, Regan Beazley, and Sam Barrett-Lennard, the Perth-based quartet’s music is grounded in authentic connection. Following the success of their ARIA-charting debut album, “Midnight Zoo,” the band quickly transitioned from local indie favorites to a globally touring act. They expanded their sonic scope in 2025 with the release of the WINGS EP and graced larger stages across cities like London, New York City, Toronto, Amsterdam, and Sydney. At home, they have maintained a strong presence on triple j’s Most Played Artists list for three consecutive years, with hits like “Chasing Hearts,” “Alter Ego,” and “Hourglass.”

“Loose Change” is now available on streaming platforms, and the music video can be viewed on YouTube. Stay tuned for the release of “I Thought The Altitude Would Make It Worth The View” on July 31.
