Police release bodycam footage of arrest in fatal Atlanta Beltline stabbing

Newly released bodycam footage from the Atlanta Police Department captures the intense moment when officers arrested Jahmare Brown, the suspect accused of fatally stabbing a woman on the Atlanta Beltline. The video shows officers swiftly approaching Brown, with their guns drawn, as they apprehended him while he was riding a bicycle thought to be used to escape the crime scene.

Brown, a 21-year-old, has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and possession of a weapon during a felony. Despite the charges, authorities have not revealed a motive for the crime, but investigators suspect that Brown may have been in the midst of a mental health crisis when he allegedly attacked 23-year-old Alyssa Paige on the Beltline. Prior to the incident, Brown is also believed to have assaulted a postal worker with a rock on Plasters Avenue.
