Evanescence drops music video for ‘Who Will You Follow’ before June album release
Evanescence recently unveiled the music video for their track, “Who Will You Follow,” which is part of their upcoming album, Sanctuary, set for release on June 5. The video, directed by Jensen Noen, delves into the themes of technology and the dissemination of false information on the internet.
The song “Who Will You Follow” made waves within the industry, becoming the fastest-moving rock radio single in the band’s history. It quickly rose to the number one spot at US Rock Radio in under four weeks, securing their first chart-topper on Billboard’s Hard Rock Song Chart. Collaborating with Zakk Cervini and Jordan Fish, the band co-wrote the track and worked on its production. Nick Raskulinecz also produced additional tracks on Sanctuary, which will be available in various formats such as digital download, standard CD, deluxe CD, and a limited-edition box set. Fans can anticipate a double vinyl release on September 4.
Lead vocalist Amy Lee expressed her pride in the album, stating that it has been a labor of love spanning over three years. She emphasized how creating this music has been a source of solace amidst chaos and how it aims to inspire hope through the power of music and connection.
Evanescence’s debut album Fallen, released in 2003, achieved remarkable success, selling over 17 million copies worldwide. With hit singles like “Bring Me to Life” and “My Immortal,” the album became the sixth best-selling record of the 21st century, dominating music charts across more than ten countries.
The band is gearing up for their highly anticipated 2026 World Tour, commencing on June 11 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Spiritbox and Nova Twins will be opening for them on the North American leg, while Poppy and Nova Twins will support them in the UK and Europe, respectively. Notably, the Paris show at Accor Arena on September 17 is already sold out, demonstrating the band’s enduring popularity. Additionally, the Kuala Lumpur date at the National Hockey Stadium sold out within just 24 minutes of ticket release.
