Staind Completes Ninth Album, Set for Early 2027 Release
Staind has completed work on its ninth studio album, which is set to be released in early 2027. The upcoming album follows the release of “Confessions Of The Fallen” in September 2023 via Alchemy Recordings/BMG. Guitarist Mike Mushok shared the news during an interview at the Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, Ohio, mentioning that the album has been finished and is scheduled for an early 2027 release.
The band’s previous album, “Confessions Of The Fallen,” introduced electronic sounds, marking their first studio album in twelve years. Produced by Erik Ron, the album received positive feedback, and Staind plans to continue exploring this direction in their upcoming music. Mike Mushok expressed in an interview with Audio Ink Radio that the band has new music in the works that follows a similar musical vein.
Staind has released a total of eight albums since their debut in 1995, with their 2001 album “Break The Cycle” reaching No. 1 on the Billboard chart and earning five-times-platinum certification. Hits like “It’s Been Awhile,” “Fade,” “For You,” and “So Far Away” have solidified the band’s presence in the music industry. Their previous album, “Confessions Of The Fallen,” topped the Billboard’s Active Rock Album chart, with singles like “Lowest In Me” and “Here And Now” reaching No. 1 on the Active Rock Chart.
In light of the 25th anniversary of their album “Break The Cycle,” Staind announced the Break The Cycle 25th Anniversary Tour scheduled to kick off in September. The tour will feature Seether as direct support, with Hoobastank and Hinder as opening acts, spanning across 25 dates in amphitheaters and arenas in the U.S. and Canada before concluding in Dallas, Texas.
