Charli XCX has unveiled her latest music video for the song “SS26,” as she continues to embrace her “rock music” era. The video takes fans behind the scenes of a fashion show, where Charli serves high fashion looks on the runway.

Before releasing the video for “SS26,” Charli treated fans to a 30-minute “Pre Show” on YouTube. During this showcase, she tried on various outfits and highlighted clothing from designers she has recently worn, such as Zadig & Voltaire in the “Rock Music” video and Lou de Bètoly at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival. Following the “Pre Show,” she premiered the official video for “SS26,” showcasing a range of stylish looks while posing for the cameras.

Charli teased the release of “SS26” earlier in the week by sharing the song’s lyrics on her Substack. She also posted a flier for the song on social media, inviting fans to “attend the presentation of Charli XCX SS26 directed by Torso.” Like her previous single “Rock Music,” “SS26” was co-written and co-produced by A.G. Cook and Finn Keane.

This new era for Charli XCX was hinted at in a British Vogue cover story where she mentioned the lyric, “I think the dancefloor is dead, so now we’re making rock music.” This statement suggests a possible shift in Charli’s musical direction towards a rock sound.

Overall, Charli XCX’s “SS26” video showcases her unique blend of music and fashion, highlighting her creative vision and innovative approach to her artistry. Through her distinct style and bold choices, Charli continues to push boundaries and evolve as an artist, captivating audiences with her music and fashion-forward sensibility.
