MJ Lenderman and Meg Duffy to be featured on upcoming Wild Pink album, Still Coming Down
Wild Pink is gearing up to release their latest album, Still Coming Down, following their 2024 album Dulling the Horns. The first taste of this new collection of songs comes in the form of “Round Of Applause At The End Of The World,” where singer-guitarist John Ross explores a distorted America through the eyes of everyday people and fictional characters. The song delves into the proliferation of conspiracies and misinformation, accompanied by a music video directed by Wes Sterrs.
The album was crafted in Asheville, NC’s Drop of Sun studios, with producer and engineer Alex Farrar (known for his work with Bnny, Wednesday, and Samia). For Ross, this album marks a significant chapter following his battle with cancer and the imminent arrival of his first child. Reflecting on the creative process, Ross shares, “Strangely, I feel like I’ve found my voice on this record.” Still Coming Down aims to capture the essence of a classic rock album that’s not only enjoyable to play but also a thrill for audiences. The album boasts of open arrangements and instrumental contributions from a host of friends and collaborators. Among them are Dan Keegan on percussion, Meg Duffy (Hand Habits), MJ Lenderman, and Ross’s bandmates from The Wind, Landon George, and Xandy Chelmis.
