Welcome to the last New Music Friday for May Music Madness, which is filled with exciting releases.
Paul McCartney, also known as The Macca, has just dropped his latest album, featuring a guest appearance by Ringo Starr, his former Beatles bandmate. The Alarm, a significant UK band, has released their new album showcasing the late Mike Peters – be sure to check out our review of it. Guitar virtuoso Kurt Vile has unveiled a new album with classic rock influences, while the power-pop group Dogstar is making a strong comeback. Arena rockers Shinedown have unleashed their massive eighth album (you can find my review of it here), and upcoming alt rocker Violet Grohl has released her debut album. The King Blues have surprised everyone with their second EP of the month.
Despite rumors of a breakup, Greta Van Fleet has proven otherwise by dropping a new hit. Bedouin Soundclash and Collie Buddz have collaborated on a fresh track, and Tom Morello has enlisted Serj Tankian for his latest release. Judah & the Lion are spreading positivity with their new song, while Rat Boy is expressing frustration in their latest track. Dexter and the Moonrocks, known for their viral hit “Freakin’ Out,” have partnered with Treaty Oak Revival for their next track, and Adult Leisure is back with a smooth new song.
In terms of new releases, we have the fourth song from Sublime 2.0 and The Bouncing Souls’ upcoming LP. Additionally, there are new tracks from familiar artists like Veronica D’Souza, Elena Moon Park, Jayler, Max McNown, Hew, Atta Boy, Effie Zilch, Tar & Flowers, Wild Pink, MEGG, Chris Pierce, Big D & The Kids Table, Matt Palka, Jonathan Plevyak, Almost Monday, Other Brother Darryl, Jordan Burchel, Fai Laci, Alewya, Lowrev, Trabants, Crimes of Passion, Wax Owls, A Perfect Circle, Iceage, Dogpark, Bike Routes, and Sparta.
Making their debut on the list this week are MV Wells, Family Art Club, The Real McKenzies, Gollylagging, Charlie Franklin, Good Teal x Noir Benny, Taylor Shuck, Lukka, Surfing for Daisy, This is Shit, Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol, Stab, Blair Jollands, Ayetian, Sour Ops, Marina Mole, Harrison Rimmer, A-100s, Hendrix Frankenreiter, Cara Delevingne, and Billet Doux.
