Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers Anime Reveals 2nd Part’s Theme Songs, Expanded Cast, Premiering July 7
Yoroi-Shinden Samurai Troopers Anime is gearing up for its second cour, set to premiere on July 7th, and the staff has recently released a full promotional video showcasing what fans can expect in the upcoming episodes. Along with the video, more information about the second part of the series has been revealed, including new cast members, theme song artists, and a fresh visual to get fans excited.
The new opening theme song titled “Bad Idenshi” will be performed by Dannie May, while the ending theme song “Bakemon” will be sung by karanoah. Additionally, the staff introduced new cast members to the series, including Tomoaki Maeno as Gomei, Aya Endō as Shimei, and Hiroshi Shirokuma as Gaimei. They also confirmed the return of Maaya Sakamoto as Yashimanosagume and Takehito Koyasu as Inmei.
The anime first premiered on January 6 on the Tokyo MX channel and was later made available for streaming on various platforms such as U-NEXT, Anime Hōdai, and d Anime Store. It also aired on Kansai TV and BS11, with Crunchyroll handling the streaming services for international audiences.
The story follows five boys in present-day Shinjuku who don Yoroi Gear samurai armor to combat the demon emperor Arago. The series boasts an impressive team behind the scenes, with director Yōichi Fujita (known for his work on Gintama and Mr. Osomatsu) leading the project. Shōgo Mutō, the supervisor and scriptwriter for the series, brings his experience from projects like Crows Zero to the table.
The character designs are handled by a talented team, including Yūhei Murota, Tsukasa Kotoboki, Hideo Okamoto, and Takuya Suzuki. The music for the series is composed by Shūji Katayama, known for his work on Overlord.
