Charli XCX is gearing up for the release of her seventh album, “Music, Fashion, Film,” with a surprise for her fans. The album, set to be released on 24th July, was announced on social media with the unveiling of its stylish cover featuring John Cale, Marc Jacobs, and Martin Scorsese – each symbolizing a different aspect of the album title.

The photo that serves as the album cover was captured by Aidan Zamiri, a frequent collaborator of Charli’s. The album consists of eleven songs and runs for precisely 30 minutes and 5 seconds, showcasing Charli’s creativity and commitment to creating a cohesive musical experience for her listeners. Fans have already been treated to two singles from the album – “ROCK MUSIC” and “SS26.”

The title of the album, “Music, Fashion, Film,” is derived from a line in the song “SS26,” where Charli sings about the futility of seeking salvation in music, fashion, or film. In a recent interview with British Vogue, Charli revealed that her approach to this album was different, as she felt the need to explore new musical territories. She shared, “I think the dance floor is dead, so now we’re making rock music.”

Charli’s previous album, “Wuthering Heights,” was led by the haunting single “House” in collaboration with John Cale. However, it was her 2024 release, “Brat,” and its remix album that propelled her to international stardom. The remix album, “Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat,” featured collaborations with artists like Billie Eilish and Lorde, solidifying Charli’s status as a pop sensation.

In early 2025, Charli headlined the Laneway Festival in Australia and New Zealand, further cementing her position in the music industry. With her upcoming album, “Music, Fashion, Film,” Charli XCX continues to push boundaries and challenge expectations, proving her versatility and artistry in the world of music. Fans eagerly anticipate the release of this album, eager to see what creative direction Charli will take in this latest musical chapter of her career.
