The upcoming art exhibition titled “Cats & Dogs: A Portrait of Devotion” at the Brick City Center for the Arts in Ocala aims to highlight the unique bond between pets and their owners. Showcasing the joy, companionship, and unconditional love that pets bring into our lives, this show is set to open on June 5, 2026, and will run until July 3.

Jaye Baillie, the executive director of Marion Cultural Alliance, expressed that the exhibit celebrates the animals that become beloved family members. Through art, the exhibition aims to honor the loyalty, dedication, and affection that cats and dogs offer in our daily lives while also shedding light on the significance of animal rescue and adoption efforts.

Attendees of the opening night reception can also enjoy live music by Ocala’s Heather Lynne & Friends, along with the premiere of their latest video, “Dreamin’ a Dream,” filmed at VOCAL and featuring rescue animals and their adopters. Furthermore, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of artwork at the exhibition will support both MCA and VOCAL.
