JoJo Siwa, the former “Dance Moms” star, recently revealed a new addition to her ensemble – an eye patch. On June 1, JoJo took to social media to share a video showcasing her eye patch, humorously mentioning that things were not going too smoothly for her at the moment. In addition to the eye patch, she disclosed that she was also dealing with a concussion, labeling herself as a bit of a mess.
A glimpse of her inflamed and irritated eye, along with some progress images of the infection, was provided by JoJo in her video. She elucidated that the cause of the concussion was a fall from her golf cart, emphasizing that the eye infection was completely unrelated but described it as a severe case.
Due to her current health situation, which includes both the concussion and the eye infection, JoJo revealed that she was mandated by her doctors to indulge in bed rest for the upcoming days. In the caption accompanying her post, JoJo acknowledged that it had been an arduous week for her. She noted that while her concussion was on a positive trajectory towards recovery, her eye was taking longer than anticipated to heal.
Even though JoJo is under the care of a team of medical professionals, she admitted that she intended to partake in some tour rehearsal work despite her health concerns. Acknowledging that it might be premature to resume all activities and recognizing the importance of not pushing herself before full recovery, JoJo articulated the sentiment prevalent in Hollywood that “the show must go on.”
In a light-hearted sign-off, JoJo humorously mentioned that if anyone spotted her sporting sunglasses, they shouldn’t mistake it for diva-like behavior; it was merely a measure to give her eye some respite. In December, she faced a health scare when she was rushed to the hospital after experiencing a ruptured ovarian cyst.
