Danko Jones to Release Ultimate DVD

Canadian musician DANKO JONES is preparing to unveil the inaugural official DANKO JONES DVD, called Bring On The Mountain, in the United States on July 3, 2012. This two-disc DVD boasts a thorough 90-minute documentary chronicling the band’s journey, showcasing exclusive live footage from various impactful performances worldwide. Meticulously crafted to provide fans with an exceptional viewing experience, the DVD combines the band’s most remarkable moments captured on video over the years. Filmed by the Diamond Bros., the documentary grants a unique glimpse into the trials and triumphs of one of the most industrious bands in today’s scene.

A delightful surprise awaits fans in the form of a short film titled The Ballad of Danko Jones. Drawing inspiration from the band’s recent video trilogy, the film features notable actors like Elijah Wood, Selma Blair, Ralph Macchio, Jena Malone, and revered musicians such as Lemmy (Motorhead) and Mike Watt (Minutemen, fIREHOSE), among others. Additionally, the DVD includes all 19 music videos ever produced by DANKO JONES, some of which have been out of circulation for over a decade.

The grand premiere of Bring On The Mountain is scheduled for the National Film Board during the NXNE Film Festival in Toronto, ON, on June 12, 2012, followed by a screening of The Ballad of Danko Jones on June 13. While DANKO JONES embarks on a European tour, directors Josh and Jason Diamond will be present for the premiere event.

Recently concluding the recording of a new album in Toronto, ON’s Noble Street Studios with producer Matt DeMatteo, DANKO JONES is currently in Vancouver, working on the final mixes with engineer Mike Fraser. This forthcoming album, slated for an early fall 2012 release, remains untitled.

DANKO JONES is set to kick off a series of European festival appearances starting at the Sweden Rock Festival in Solvesborg on June 7, 2012, with more tour dates yet to be announced for the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Their extensive international tour itinerary includes various festival stops and headline shows across Europe, with confirmed dates spanning from June to November at venues in Finland, Germany, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Hungary, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, and France.
