Tegan and Sara perform at 98.7-FM’s Penthouse concert
The Canadian indie rock duo Tegan & Sara recently made an appearance at 98.7-FM’s Penthouse, a concert series organized by Los Angeles radio station KYSR-FM at the iconic Hollywood Tower in Hollywood, California. The charismatic twins performed in front of a small, select audience, donning festive holiday sweaters for KYSR’s Ugly Sweater Party. Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, the duo of Sara and Tegan Quin has been making music since their debut album, This Business of Art, in 2000. Subsequent releases like If It Was You (2002), So Jealous (2004), The Con (2007), and Sainthood (2009) solidified their place in the indie rock scene. The latter two albums, produced alongside Death Cab for Cutie’s Christopher Walla, reached impressive spots on the Billboard 200 chart. In 2011, Tegan & Sara unveiled Get Along, which earned them a GRAMMY nomination for Best Long Form Music Video. Their latest venture, Heartthrob, dropped on January 29, showcasing their songwriting prowess through 10 co-written tracks. The album was a collaborative effort involving producers like Kurstin, Rob Cavallo, and Justin Meldal-Johnsen. Currently, Tegan & Sara are on a global tour, with shows lined up until May.
