New video for Grand Blue Dreaming Season 3 reveals ending song; premieres July 6
The official website for the anime adaptation of the manga “Grand Blue Dreaming” by Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka recently released the third promotional video for the upcoming third season. The video revealed that the anime is set to debut on July 6 on Tokyo MX and BS11 at 24:00 JST, which effectively means July 7 at 12 midnight JST. Additionally, the show will also be broadcast on MBS starting from July 7 and on AT-X from July 9.
The promotional video also showcased the opening theme song titled “Natsuko” by FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY’S and introduced the ending theme song “Hadaka no Mermaid” by the girl group MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN. Interestingly, the ending theme song was produced by the comedian and actor Kuro-chan.
New cast members have been announced for the third season, including M.A.O as Karina, Sayaka Ōhara as Sayaka Kotegawa, Asami Seto as Chief, and Aya Suzaki as Maki. This season will be set in Palau, marking the first time the series’ setting has been outside Japan.
The second season of the anime concluded with its 12th episode in September 2025. Notably, the entire season had leaked online in July, and the final episode included a teaser for a third season. Kodansha USA Publishing is currently releasing the manga digitally in English, providing readers with a glimpse into the story of Iori Kitahara navigating his college life in a seaside town filled with diving adventures and hilarious escapades with a group of eccentric friends.
The manga “Grand Blue Dreaming” was initially launched in Kodansha’s Good! Afternoon magazine back in April 2014. Crunchyroll had been releasing chapters of the manga as they were published in Japan. The manga’s popularity led to the creation of a television anime series, which premiered in July 2018. Amazon Prime Video streamed the anime globally as it aired. Additionally, a live-action film adaptation of the manga was released in Japan in August 2020.
