Marilyn Manson has officially confirmed the release of his upcoming album “One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2” with the debut of the lead single “Exit Wounds.” The new album is scheduled to be available on August 14 through Manson’s recently signed label Nuclear Blast. Fans can get a sneak peek by listening to the track “Exit Wounds.”

The cover art and tracklisting for the album have been unveiled, and pre-orders for the album are now open. Fans can look forward to getting their hands on the album in various formats, including CD and special edition vinyl variants.

Back in 2024, Manson released “One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1,” which gained commercial success by reaching #2 on the UK’s Rock & Metal Albums chart and Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart. This album also peaked at #32 on the Billboard 200 chart. Preceding this release was “We Are Chaos” in 2020, which secured the top spot on the UK’s Rock & Metal Albums chart and reached #8 on the Billboard 200. “We Are Chaos” became Manson’s first album to hit #1 in Australia since “Mechanical Animals” in 1998. After drummer Gil Sharone left the band in 2019, he was replaced by Brandon Pertzborn, previously of Black Flag, who joined the group.

In a more recent update, Manson brought guitarist Tim Skold back into the fold after the departure of long-time collaborator Tyler Bates earlier this year. Manson shared a photo with Skold, stating, “We are the things of shapes to come. MM + TS.” Skold’s previous stint with Manson from 2002 to 2008 was marked by a transformative period in the band’s sound, where he not only played bass but also contributed as a key creative partner in production, programming, and various musical elements. His impact was evident in albums like “The Golden Age of Grotesque” and “Eat Me, Drink Me,” where his electronic and industrial influences helped shape Manson’s music into new directions.

Tim Skold’s return signifies a pivotal moment for Marilyn Manson as they gear up for a busy schedule ahead, including headlining shows, festivals like Sick New World and Sonic Temple, and an upcoming co-headlining tour with Rob Zombie across North America. With Skold’s musical prowess and history with Manson, his addition to the group promises a seamless and introspective evolution in the band’s sound and performance. Fans can anticipate a refreshed and energized Marilyn Manson as they prepare to unveil their latest album and hit the road in the coming months.
