The Linda Lindas have recently signed with Reprise/Warner Records and released their first single, “Burning Out,” under this new label. The song was penned during a writing retreat in Palm Springs shortly after Lucia de la Garza graduated from high school. It reflects the experience of friends going separate ways after graduation and the rapid changes occurring in one’s life, laden with a sense of nostalgia.

The group garnered critical acclaim with their second album, “No Obligation,” in 2024, showcasing their unique blend of LA punk, post-punk, garage rock, power pop, new wave, and rock en español. “Burning Out” embodies a blend of newness and nostalgia, resonating with the transitional period in which it was created.

Lucia de la Garza described the inspiration behind the track, stating, “We went on a week-long writing retreat in Palm Springs less than a month after graduation, and that’s where we wrote this song about feeling like the world is passing you by.” The accompanying music video for the song was directed by Nathan Castiel.

Looking ahead, The Linda Lindas are set to embark on a fall tour, joining Bleachers on the West Coast. Additionally, they will perform at Tom Morello’s Power to the People Festival in Maryland. Concertgoers can secure their tickets through the band’s official website.

The fall tour dates for 2026 include stops at various venues along the West Coast, such as The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA, and Dune Peninsula at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, WA. The band will conclude their tour at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, as part of the Power to the People Festival.

The Linda Lindas’ latest release, “Burning Out,” accompanied by a music video directed by Nathan Castiel, is available now under Reprise/Warner Records. The band’s musical style, characterized by an eclectic mix of genres, continues to captivate audiences and critics alike, setting them apart in the music scene.

In conclusion, The Linda Lindas’ signing with Reprise/Warner Records marks a new chapter in their musical journey, showcasing their growth and evolution as artists. “Burning Out” exemplifies their ability to capture the essence of transitions and fleeting moments in a way that resonates deeply with listeners.
