Cassadaga introduces summer concert series
The much-anticipated Cassadaga Lakes Summer Concert Series presented by Citizens for a Better Cassadaga is back this summer, promising delightful musical performances for locals and visitors alike. Kicking off on Wednesday, June 17, with the annual Strawberry Social featuring the Cassadaga Area Concert Band at Cassadaga Beach from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., attendees can enjoy some delicious strawberry shortcake while listening to the band’s rendition of patriotic tunes, show tunes, and popular melodies. A minimal suggested donation of $5 for adults and $3 for children is encouraged for entry.
The subsequent concerts will take place every other Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Cassadaga Floating Stage, with an opening band entertaining the crowd at the beach gazebo from 4 to 5 p.m. before each headliner takes the stage (except for the June 17 event).
On June 28, mark your calendars for a performance by The Rustic Ramblers, who will serenade the audience with traditional country music. July 12 brings Midnight Recovery to treat the audience with their music. Folk, pop, and country tunes by OsbornNash will be showcased on July 26, followed by Hooman rocking the floating stage on August 9 with their versatile repertoire spanning blues, jazz, Motown, and southern rock.
Before the season wraps up, catch Ten Cent Howl, an Americana band, on August 23, performing a unique blend of original compositions and beloved covers. Finally, Aces and Eights will close out the concert series on September 6 with classic rock and blues, adding to the excitement of the annual Cassadaga Labor Day Festival.
Attendees can arrive either by boat or land at Cassadaga Beach on Park Avenue in the village. Limited beach parking will be available, with additional parking options at the library, church, or fire hall. For those hungry concert-goers, refreshments will be on sale at the venue. Lifeguards will be on duty to ensure children can safely enjoy swimming, plus there are amenities like a playground, beach volleyball, picnic tables, and grills available for a fun-filled day.
