Malcolm Todd’s latest album, “Do That Again,” has made a big impact on the music scene by securing a spot in the top 10 on seven different Billboard charts. The album wasted no time making waves, debuting at an impressive No. 5 position on the prestigious all-genre Billboard 200 chart.
During the week ending on June 11, “Do That Again” amassed a total of 67,000 equivalent album units within the United States, with 30,000 of those units coming from album sales. Notably, 19,000 of these album sales were vinyl copies, leading to the album snagging the No. 2 spot on the Vinyl Albums chart.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for Malcolm Todd, as it’s the first time he has entered the top 20 of the Billboard 200, let alone the top 10 or top five. Prior to this, his album “Sweet Boy” from 2024 had managed to climb as high as No. 30 in May 2026, but with the recent surge in popularity, it now sits at No. 26 on the latest chart.
Todd’s previous album, the self-titled “Malcolm Todd” from 2025, had peaked at No. 49 in August of the same year. However, it’s evident that his career trajectory has been steadily on the rise, with a slow and steady climb up the Billboard charts since his initial appearance with the track “Chest Pain (I Love)” on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart in December 2024, ultimately peaking at No. 10 in April the following year.
The momentum continued with the deluxe release of Todd’s self-titled album in August, which brought renewed interest to his earlier releases on different platforms, including streaming services and short-form video platforms. Notably, tracks like “Sweet Boy” and “Roommates” gained traction, with “Earrings” emerging as a standout hit. “Earrings” soared to No. 3 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart and marked Todd’s debut on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year, currently holding a position at No. 22 with 12.4 million streams.
With the release of “Do That Again,” more success followed as the album secured the No. 2 spot on both Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts. Impressively, the album’s sales led to a No. 2 ranking on Top Album Sales and a No. 7 position on the Indie Store Album Sales chart. Additionally, the album’s 37,000 streaming equivalent units placed it at No. 8 on the Top Streaming Albums chart.
A couple of tracks from “Do That Again,” including “I Saw Your Face” and “Difficult Love,” also made their way to the Hot 100, with the former reentering at No. 92 and the latter debuting at No. 97. Todd’s presence on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart is undeniable, with a total of 13 songs encompassing various positions all the way up to the title track at No. 50.
