IF THESE TREES COULD TALK consists of Cody Kelly on guitar, Zack Kelly on drums, Tom Fihe on bass guitar, Jeff Kalal on guitar, and Mike Socrates on guitar. The band’s latest single, “Sea Of Glass,” sets the tone for their upcoming album, ‘The Hidden Hand,’ which is scheduled for release on July 10th through Metal Blade Records.

The track “Sea Of Glass” is described as both dreamy and powerful, offering an optimistic post-rock landscape with clean guitars and heavy chorus hooks that build up to a haunting and explosive conclusion. Metal Hammer has praised the Akron, Ohio-based band for their uplifting post-rock sound that intertwines cascading guitars with tight drums, creating a deep emotional resonance. Their previous album, ‘The Bones Of A Dying World,’ released in 2016, was hailed as a fluid-flowing masterpiece that further developed their complex, progressive dreamscapes.

‘The Hidden Hand’ features nine compelling tracks that showcase IF THESE TREES COULD TALK’s focus on capturing sonic power. With three guitars covering different tonal areas, the band aims to create a diverse, textured sound that engages listeners on multiple levels. The creative process often starts with a loop pedal and delay, eventually leading to the emergence of a natural bass line that serves as the foundation for the music. Drum patterns are carefully crafted to complement the loop and drive the direction of the music, resulting in a slow, wordless conversation between internal and external worlds. The band’s music is best experienced as a soundtrack to a cinematic experience or as a source of meditation, healing, and clarity.

Fans can pre-order ‘The Hidden Hand’ on the Metal Blade Records website. The album’s tracklist includes songs such as “Archons,” “Moon Machine,” “Sea of Glass,” “Blurry Creatures,” “Silence Between Mountains, Pt. 1,” “Silence Between Mountains, Pt. 2,” “Metanoia,” “Flim,” and “Endlessly Connected.”

IF THESE TREES COULD TALK continues to push the boundaries of post-rock music with their innovative approach to composition and performance. With a lineup that showcases exceptional talent and a deep connection to their craft, the band is poised to captivate audiences with their upcoming release.
