Strange Lot release music video for “Go Have A Dream”
Strange Lot has been making significant strides in their music career. Beginning in 2022, they rebuilt the project from the ground up, culminating in 30 solo demos, securing Alex Maas of The Black Angels as the producer, and completing their debut album. The LP was mixed by Jim Eno of Spoon and mastered by Howie Weinberg. This spring, Dominic Mena and his band from Austin toured the United States, supporting Melody’s Echo Chamber. Their journey now leads to the release of “Go Have a Dream,” the second teaser from their debut LP “Strange Lot,” scheduled for August 14 under Greenway Records.
While the earlier single, “Nobody Seems to Do the Math,” made a powerful impact with its fuzzed-out sound, “Go Have a Dream” diverges into a more kaleidoscopic and atmospheric realm. The track, which leans into shoegaze, allows the hazy aesthetic that defines the album to really breathe. The music video for the song was directed by Stellina Stampouli. Strange Lot has already performed as direct support for prominent bands like The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, and Kikagaku Moyo, further solidifying their reputation. They also headlined the Levitation Festival in Austin. With their current lineup comprising Dominic Mena, Cameron Martin on drums, Levi Murray on bass, and Jason Desiderio on guitar and synthesizer, the band is undoubtedly hitting its peak.
Upon listening to the demos, Alex Maas of The Black Angels described the band’s sound as “fresh.” The debut LP, available for pre-order, sets the stage for Strange Lot’s musical journey ahead. The tracklist includes songs like “All I Know,” “Always Alone,” “It’s Always You,” and many more, totaling 14 tracks. With a mix of different sounds and emotions, the album promises a unique listening experience for fans.
“Strange Lot,” the highly-anticipated debut album from the band, will not only showcase their musical evolution but also solidify their presence in the music scene. Set for release on August 14, 2026, under Greenway Records, the album represents a culmination of the band’s hard work and dedication. Don’t miss your chance to experience the kaleidoscopic and atmospheric sounds of Strange Lot as they continue to captivate audiences with their unique and innovative approach to music.
