Dark Funeral will release a new live album titled ‘A Beast To Praise’ and debut first music video/ single
Swedish black metal outfit, Dark Funeral, has confirmed the release of their much-anticipated live album titled ‘A Beast To Praise’, set to launch globally on August 21, 2026, through Century Media Records. This new record was recorded at Fållan in Stockholm during 2022 and boasts a captivating 13-track, 70-minute performance, focusing primarily on tracks from their recent studio album, ‘We Are The Apocalypse’.
To mark this exciting announcement, the band has unveiled the first single and video from the live album, which is for the track “The Arrival of Satan’s Empire”. The video perfectly captures the raw energy and intensity of Dark Funeral’s live performance in Stockholm. Guitarist and founding member, Lord Ahriman, expressed the importance of this release by stating that ‘A Beast To Praise’ signifies a crucial moment in the band’s history, as it not only showcases their live performance for ‘We Are The Apocalypse’ but also their return to the stage after a lengthy period of silence due to the pandemic. The live show at Fållan was a night filled with intense energy, and this live album allows Dark Funeral to bring closure to the chapter surrounding ‘We Are The Apocalypse’. Simultaneously, they are already focused on creating new music for their upcoming studio album, scheduled for release in 2027.
Fans will have various formats to choose from when purchasing ‘A Beast To Praise’, such as the jewelcase CD, digital release, and limited edition gatefold 2LP variants, including a transparent red vinyl version. Following their summer engagements, the band is set to join Behemoth and Dimmu Borgir for the massive “In League With Satan” tour. Interested listeners can already place their physical pre-orders. Additionally, the band has also confirmed a lineup of live dates, including appearances at Schlotheim in Germany for the Party.San Open Air festival and other locations such as Câmpulung in Romania and Požega in Serbia for the Posada Rock and Hellhammer Festival events, respectively.
