Pond has recently dropped their latest album, “Terrestrials,” accompanied by a visually stunning music video for the leading track. This new release comes out under their own label, Mangovision, in collaboration with Secretly Distribution. The band is currently embarking on their North American tour, which includes a series of performances with Djo, including a stop at New York’s Forest Hills Stadium. Tickets for these shows are now available on the Pond website.

To complement the album release, Pond has unveiled the music video for their track “Skyworks.” This song delves into the complex history of Australia Day and delves into the contrast between the festive public celebrations and the somber historical context from which the holiday emerged. Frontman Nick Allbrook sheds light on the inspiration behind the track, stating, “The skyworks happen every year on the day Australia was invaded and claimed by the crown. They explode over the river in a gaudy display of drunkenness and patriotism, sponsored by the Lotto. We love a flutter. The river is bejeweled with magical glittering lights, and loud bangs that remind some of canons and muskets.”

Having formed in 2010 in Fremantle, Western Australia, Pond gained international recognition with the release of their 2013 album, “Beard, Wives, Denim.” Comprising members Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson, Joseph Ryan, James Ireland, and Jamie Terry, Pond has since built an impressive discography spanning 10 albums. Their dynamic live performances have also received acclaim, having shared stages with notable acts such as Flaming Lips, Queens of the Stone Age, and Arctic Monkeys, and gracing major festival lineups worldwide, including Glastonbury, Coachella, and Splendour in the Grass.

The band’s North American tour dates include stops in cities such as Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Chicago, and Los Angeles, culminating with a final performance at The Bellwether. Throughout the tour, Pond will be accompanied by Djo for select shows. Tickets for all performances can be purchased through their official website.

Pond’s latest release, “Terrestrials,” coupled with their captivating music video for “Skyworks,” solidifies their position as a versatile and socially conscious musical entity. With a dedicated fan base and a reputation for electrifying live shows, Pond continues to push boundaries and captivate audiences worldwide with their unique sound and compelling visuals.
