Skillet has unveiled their latest single, titled “Scream,” which is scheduled for release on July 10. This upcoming track serves as the band’s first preview of brand-new music, hinting at more releases in the pipeline later this year. Frontman John Cooper shed light on the band’s creative direction for this new music, stating, “We went back to Memphis and collaborated with a producer who had been familiar with the band before our debut record. Life’s journey has been a mix of highs and lows. Here we are now, realizing that our story is far from over. The music kept evolving into something heavier, and I made the call to go all out.”

This announcement coincides with a period of celebratory milestones for Skillet, with their 6x-platinum hit “Monster” exceeding 4 billion streams globally and entering Spotify’s exclusive Billions Club. Notably, this track remains the top-performing song by a Christian artist to cross the one billion streams mark on Spotify.
