156/Silence releases music video for “Proxy Idols”
156/Silence has recently debuted a brand new single titled “Proxy Idols,” accompanied by an official music video. This song is part of their upcoming album, ‘From A Distance,’ set to be released on September 4 through Pure Noise Records.
The band shared insights about the track, shedding light on its exploration of online culture and the obsession with celebrities. They expressed their thoughts, stating, “Celebrity worship is more prevalent than ever. They come and go, being thrust into our faces until the next wave arrives. People’s compulsive fixation on following the lives of others whom they will never meet is both sad and frustrating.”
After concluding their recent tours in support of Thornhill, 156/Silence has now unveiled an extensive live schedule leading up to the album’s launch. This includes appearances at the Inkcarceration Festival on July 18 and the “It’s Not You, It’s Me” tour with Chiodos, sace6, and Calva Louise beginning on July 30. Additionally, they will embark on a brief headlining tour with Coldstate and a full U.S. headlining tour in September with Aviana, Heavensgate, and Fromjoy.

The band’s upcoming schedule includes performances at the Inkcarceration Festival in Mansfield, OH on July 18. Following that, they will kick off the “It’s Not You, It’s Me Tour” with Chiodos, sace6, and Calva Louise in various locations across North America, including Denver, Salt Lake City, Vancouver, Toronto, and more throughout August.
Furthermore, 156/Silence has scheduled a series of one-off headline dates with Coldstate in Barrie, Syracuse, and Albany towards the end of August. Subsequently, they will commence the “From A Distance Tour” alongside Aviana, Heavensgate, and Fromjoy, starting in Worcester, MA, and wrapping up their U.S. run in Pittsburgh, PA in October.
