Beabadoobee’s latest album, Pylon, is a continuation of her musical journey from her previous album, This Is How Tomorrow Moves, released in 2024. The album kicks off with the track “Sun Has Set,” which Beabadoobee describes as a collection of songs that originated as diary entries. She explains that the songs on this record are sentiments she wished she could have expressed to someone. “This song has this petty tunnel vision—it’s like, I hate you. You’re gonna stay here and listen to how much I hate you. Because I never got to say that,” she elaborates.

Pylon marks Beabadoobee’s shift towards a sharper rock sound that has been a key influence in her music. Produced by The 1975’s Matty Healy and George Daniel, the album combines elements of classic grunge, midwest emo, and ‘90s radio rock. Beabadoobee collaborates with a stellar lineup of artists in the alternative rock scene, including Hayley Williams from Paramore, Brendan Yates from Turnstile, Chino Moreno from Deftones, Shane Moran from Title Fight, and Evan Stephens Hall from Pinegrove.

The release of Pylon will coincide with Beabadoobee’s upcoming Powerlines Tour, her largest tour to date. The tour will feature her first headline shows across North America, the UK, and Europe throughout the autumn and winter seasons. Kicking off on 1 October in Connecticut, the Powerlines Tour will include performances at iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum, and The O2 Arena.

Aside from the music, Pylon also features captivating artwork that complements the album’s themes and vibe. The tracklist for Pylon includes songs like “Estranged,” “Switchblade,” “Write Me A Letter,” “It’s Alright,” “In Motion,” “Memories,” “Nothing To Prove,” “Radio,” “Powerlines,” “Spark,” “Despite That,” and “Satellite.”

Overall, Beabadoobee’s Pylon is a testament to her growth and evolution as an artist, delving into new sonic territories while staying true to her influences and roots in rock music. The album promises to captivate listeners with its raw emotion, compelling lyrics, and infectious melodies that showcase Beabadoobee’s artistry and talent.
