Phoebe Bridgers has confirmed the upcoming release of her third album, Lost Weekend set to be available on August 14th. She took to her Instagram account to announce that the first track from the album will drop tomorrow. This album will mark Bridgers’ return to a solo project after a six-year gap since her last solo album, Punisher, was met with critical acclaim in 2020. Fans have eagerly awaited new solo music from Bridgers since she teased an upcoming arena tour last month, heightening anticipation for her upcoming musical offerings.

To build excitement for her new album, Bridgers surprised fans with pop-up shows, beginning in New Mexico back in May. The most notable of these shows was a phones-free performance at Madison Square Garden, a massive venue that she revealed just a few days before the concert.

Although Bridgers has not released a solo album since Punisher, she has kept herself busy with various projects. She achieved success alongside her Boygenius supergroup, a collaborative effort that garnered widespread critical acclaim and even secured three Grammy awards. The album won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album, with the track “not strong enough” earning accolades for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance. On the same night, Bridgers also received a separate Grammy award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with SZA on “Ghost in the Machine.”

Despite the lack of specific details, fans can expect Lost Weekend to deliver a new musical chapter from Bridgers, adding to her impressive body of work. As fans eagerly anticipate the release of her new album, Bridgers continues to solidify her position as a versatile and talented artist within the music industry.
