Dead Fish and Malvina members start ‘Punk Means Solidarity’ charity initiative

The initiative known as the Punk Means Solidarity campaign has been in operation since 2025 with the main goal of selling merchandise to generate funds for the Gaza Skate Team collective. This campaign is conducted through the European label GrPunkCrustHC and plays a crucial role in aiding the collective and the children of Gaza in a powerful act of resistance against the pervasive Israeli violence they face.

In a significant development this year, Rodrigo Lima from Dead Fish and Cucamonga, along with Ste Marino from Cucamonga, joined hands with brothers Berman and Vinny Berbert from Malvina and Psywar Records to expand the campaign to Brazil. This initiative enables Brazilians to actively participate and show their support for this noble cause.

The collaboration between Cucamonga and Psywar Records resulted in the launch of the campaign in Brazil on June 22nd. The event saw an overwhelming response from the public, surpassing all expectations and showcasing the solidarity of the community towards this cause.

Berman and Vinny Berbert, the brains behind Psywar Records, emphatically stated, “It is the responsibility of our community to stand in solidarity with the people in Gaza, to help them rebuild what was lost, and to strengthen their struggle against the atrocities committed by the State of Israel. Punk music has always been synonymous with solidarity.”

The Gaza Skate Team has been actively seeking to make a difference in Gaza since 2017. Despite the challenging circumstances of living under siege, this collective has managed to construct ramps, skate parks, and organize skateboarding classes. Through these efforts, they have resiliently built a thriving skateboarding community in the midst of devastation, collectively addressing the trauma they face.
