Bad Wolves Set to Drop New Single Featuring New Lineup on June 29
Bad Wolves has given fans a glimpse of their upcoming single titled “Paint It Red,” set to be released on June 29. The highly successful alternative metal band is preparing to make a comeback with a revised lineup orchestrated by drummer John Boecklin.
Rumors circulating suggest that Sara “Killboy” Skinner will be taking on vocal responsibilities, while Javier Reyes from Animals As Leaders is rumored to be involved in the project. However, no official announcements regarding lineup changes have been made by the band yet.
Boecklin revealed on social media that the band has been hard at work on their fifth studio album throughout 2026. The release of “Paint It Red” on Monday may introduce fans to the new lineup and give them a taste of what’s to come.
Originating in Los Angeles in 2017, Bad Wolves rose to prominence with their cover of The Cranberries’ “Zombie.” Since then, they have released four studio albums: “Disobey” (2018), “N.A.T.I.O.N.” (2019), “Dear Monsters” (2021), and “Die About It” (2023).
Their success on the music charts is evident, with several tracks hitting the number one spot on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart. Hits like “Remember When,” “Killing Me Slowly,” and “Sober” have all enjoyed significant success. Interestingly, ten out of the thirteen tracks on their debut album “Disobey” were already written and recorded before vocalist Tommy Vext joined the band.
After Vext’s departure in January 2021 due to internal conflicts, Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz stepped in as the new lead vocalist. The band faced legal issues with Better Noise Music following Vext’s exit.
Recent changes in the band lineup come after a period of upheaval. Laskiewicz has since joined Falling In Reverse’s touring lineup, while guitarist Doc Coyle has resumed his activities with God Forbid and has been touring with Snot.
The original lineup featured Boecklin, Vext, Coyle, Cain, and bassist Kyle Konkiel, with Zoltan Bathory from Five Finger Death Punch managing the band. As Bad Wolves prepares to release “Paint It Red” and unveil their revamped lineup, fans eagerly anticipate what the future holds for this dynamic and talented heavy metal band.
