Five Finger Death Punch reveals tenth album “Legacy” and debuts new song “De Oppresso Liber”
Five Finger Death Punch has just announced their upcoming tenth album titled “Legacy.” Fans can get their hands on the digital version starting July 31 by pre-ordering. The CD, vinyl, and cassette versions will be released on September 18 and are also available for pre-order immediately. According to the band’s guitarist Zoltan Bathory, “Legacy” is a representation of the band’s journey over the past two decades. It encapsulates the lessons learned, the victories achieved, and the struggles faced during this time.
Reflecting on their 20-year career, Ivan Moody, the band’s vocalist, expressed that “Legacy” does not signify an end but a milestone in their journey with their fans. The album is a testament to the evolution of Five Finger Death Punch while also signaling future endeavors. Moody emphasized the band’s belief in continual growth, stating that every milestone reached only reveals another horizon waiting ahead. The band aims to push beyond perceived limits and explore new possibilities in their musical endeavors.
The latest single “De Oppresso Liber” aims to pay homage to a philosophy of standing up against danger to protect the vulnerable. Bathory explains that this song represents a spirit of bravery and courage that has been embraced throughout history by individuals willing to take a stand.
Their earlier single, “Eye Of The Storm,” which was released last month, already holds a place among the Top 5 at Rock Radio. The song has garnered millions of streams on Spotify and YouTube, with a lyric video generating significant attention. Critics have lauded the track for its powerful yet melodic composition, showcasing Moody’s reflective and poignant lyrics.
The track listing for “Legacy” includes ten powerful songs that aim to resonate with long-time fans and newcomers alike. The physical album is available for pre-order in various formats, ensuring that fans can choose their preferred media for experiencing the music.
This summer, Five Finger Death Punch is set to embark on their 20th Anniversary World Tour across North America and the UK/EU. The tour will feature special guest performers and offer fans a blend of new tracks from “Legacy” along with classic hits that defined the band’s journey over the past two decades.
In addition to celebrating their musical legacy, the band continues its charitable efforts by supporting Team USA and aligning with the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028. A portion of the ticket sales from the 2026 North American Tour will benefit high-performance programs for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes as they prepare for international competitions. This initiative reflects the band’s commitment to giving back and supporting aspiring athletes in achieving their dreams.
