TEMIC, the progressive supergroup composed of talented musicians from various bands such as Devin Townsend, Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress, Neal Morse Band, and Haken, has recently unveiled a live version of their popular track “Skeletons.” This electrifying rendition was captured during their 2025 European co-headline tour at Poppodium Boerderij in Zoetermeer, Netherlands and showcases the band’s exceptional chemistry and musical prowess.

“Skeletons,” with a runtime of seven minutes, serves as a platform for TEMIC to showcase their musical synergy. Diego Tejeida’s mesmerizing keyboard melodies intertwine seamlessly with Eric Gillette’s powerful riffs, creating a captivating musical landscape. Drummer Simen Sandnes and bassist Miguel Pereira lock into a dynamic groove, propelling the song from its energetic choruses to a funky conclusion. Vocalist Fredrik Bergersen Klemp’s emotive delivery adds depth and intensity to the track, culminating in a fiery finale that leaves listeners spellbound.

The track “Skeletons” is part of TEMIC’s debut album “Terror Management Theory,” released in 2023 via Season of Mist, reaching #15 on the iTunes Worldwide Metal chart. TEMIC came into existence in 2017 when Diego Tejeida and Eric Gillette, who had toured together with Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress, decided to collaborate and explore their shared vision of progressive music infused with high-energy electronic elements. However, it was not until 2020 that they formalized their partnership, leading to the formation of TEMIC.

Praised by both critics and industry peers, TEMIC’s unique sound has garnered acclaim from the likes of Mike Portnoy, who described their music as “amazing stuff” with “insane playing.” Drawing inspiration from bands like Leprous, Sleep Token, Haken, Dream Theater, and Pain of Salvation, TEMIC has carved a niche for themselves in the progressive metal scene with their innovative approach and electrifying performances.

The live recording of “Skeletons” at Poppodium Boerderij was expertly mixed and mastered by Eric Gillette, capturing the band’s electrifying energy and captivating stage presence. Available on all digital platforms, “Skeletons” showcases TEMIC’s raw talent and sheer musicality, leaving fans eagerly anticipating their upcoming second album which promises to be a poignant exploration of grief and loss.

As TEMIC gears up for their fall European tour alongside labelmates Kingcrow, fans can expect an unforgettable musical experience filled with electrifying performances and captivating melodies. Stay tuned for more updates and announcements from TEMIC as they continue to push the boundaries of progressive music and redefine the genre for a new generation.
