Nonpoint, a popular rock band, reveals new album after nearly 30 years
Nonpoint, a band with deep roots in the hard rock and alternative metal scene, recently made headlines by revealing details about their upcoming 11th studio album, titled “The Last Word.” The project, set to be released on Sept. 18, 2026, under the band’s independent label, 361 Degrees Records, marks a significant milestone for the group nearly three decades after its inception.
The official announcement of the album came through Nonpoint’s social media platforms, particularly Instagram, where fans were encouraged to pre-save the album and explore limited-edition supporter bundles. This album follows the band’s previous full-length release in 2018, with the subsequent drops of the Ruthless and Heartless EPs, showcasing Nonpoint’s continuous dedication to creating and sharing music with their audience.
Simultaneously with the album announcement, Nonpoint also presented the music video for the lead single from the album, titled “Is It.” The track, which initially went digital in April, has already started making waves on Active Rock radio, quickly becoming one of the most added songs upon its release and rising into the Top 50 of the Mediabase Active Rock chart.
Frontman Elias Soriano shared his thoughts on the album title, explaining that it embodies the band’s ethos of perseverance and innovation. He emphasized that despite their long history in the music industry, Nonpoint considers “The Last Word” as a statement of artistic vitality and a refusal to be defined by expectations. Soriano expressed his enthusiasm for the band’s current creative trajectory, highlighting the cohesiveness in their music, visuals, and overall creative direction.
Nonpoint’s upcoming album promises a fusion of heaviness typical of the band’s sound with new sonic dimensions and songwriting approaches. Soriano hinted that while the record retains the core essence of Nonpoint’s distinct style, listeners can expect fresh musical explorations and experiences that reflect the band’s growth and evolution over the years.
Started in 1997 by Elias Soriano and drummer Robb Rivera, Nonpoint has etched its place in rock music history with powerhouse performances, catchy tunes, and memorable songs like “Bullet With a Name,” “What a Day,” “Breaking Skin,” and “Generation Idiot.” With a discography spanning ten studio albums, starting from their debut “Statement” in 2000 to their latest effort “X” in 2018, Nonpoint has established a solid fanbase over the years.
Additionally, 2021 saw the band taking a significant step by launching their label, 361 Degrees Records, marking a new chapter in their musical journey. The upcoming release of “The Last Word,” featuring tracks such as “Failing The Conversation,” “Crowd Control,” “Off The Hook,” and more, is sure to captivate both die-hard fans and newcomers to Nonpoint’s sound.
To complement the album release, Nonpoint is embarking on The Even More Outta Control Tour starting on July 23 in Menahga, Minnesota, and traversing various U.S. cities until early September. The tour offers fans an opportunity to experience the band’s new music firsthand before the album’s official drop. Special guest appearances by acts like Spineshank, (hed)p.e., Soil, and others on select tour dates promise a diverse and engaging concert experience for attendees.
