New video for Season 2 of “The Elusive Samurai” reveals opening song, cast, staff, and July 13 debut
The second season of the television anime series based on the manga “The Elusive Samurai” by Yūsei Matsui revealed new information on Saturday, including the main promotional video, opening theme song, cast, staff, and the debut date on July 17. The trailer introduces the opening theme song “Onigoto” performed by Kento Nakajima.
The new season is set to start on July 17 at 11:30 p.m. on the Fuji TV network, with additional airings on AT-X. The series will also be available for streaming on Prime Video. The cast for the new season includes Asaki Yuikawa as Hojo Tokiyuki and Yūichi Nakamura as Suwa Yorishige, along with other talented voice actors.
Returning for season 2, Yuta Yamazaki, who previously worked on projects like “Wonder Egg Priority,” will be back as the director at CloverWorks. Yasushi Nishiya will continue his role as the chief animation director and character designer, while Shinnosuke Ōta will serve as the animation director. Viz Media and MANGA Plus also released new chapters of the manga in English simultaneously with the Japanese release, with Viz Media also publishing the manga in print.
