Sharon Osbourne reflects on first anniversary without Ozzy: ‘Forever in my heart’
Sharon Osbourne recently commemorated what would have been her 46th wedding anniversary with her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne, in a heartfelt Instagram post. The couple tied the knot on July 4, 1982, in Hawaii and remained together for 43 years until Ozzy’s passing on July 22, 2025. Despite the loss, Sharon expressed her enduring love and connection to Ozzy, stating, “Today would have been our 46th wedding anniversary. Instead, it is a celebration of a love that even death could not diminish. I miss your hand in mine, but I carry your love with me every step of the way. Forever my husband. Forever my heart.”
Ozzy Osbourne, a legendary figure in rock music, passed away at the age of 76 after a public battle with Parkinson’s disease. Just 17 days before his death, he headlined a farewell concert called “Back to the Beginning” in Villa Park, Birmingham, alongside Black Sabbath. The couple’s relationship endured various highs and lows, including a brief separation in 2016, but they reaffirmed their commitment through a vow renewal in 2017. Together, they raised three children: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.
Following Ozzy’s passing, there was a notable surge in his music on the Billboard charts. His iconic solo track “Crazy Train” entered the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in its history, debuting at No. 46 with 9.2 million streams. Additionally, “Mama, I’m Coming Home” re-entered the Hot 100 at No. 49 after 33 years, and his compilation album “The Essential Ozzy Osbourne” reached a new peak at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. The album also topped the charts for Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, and Top Hard Rock Albums simultaneously. The Hot Hard Rock Songs chart was dominated by Osbourne and Black Sabbath tracks in the top seven positions.
With a music career spanning over five decades, Ozzy Osbourne sold over 100 million albums globally and achieved nine solo top 10 entries on the Billboard 200. Noteworthy hits include “Close My Eyes Forever” with Lita Ford and “Take What You Want” with Post Malone and Travis Scott, both of which reached the top 10 on the Hot 100 chart. Black Sabbath’s reunion album “13” secured the band their first-ever No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2013.
Sharon Osbourne’s touching tribute to her late husband not only showcases the enduring love between them but also highlights the profound impact Ozzy Osbourne had on the rock music landscape. His legacy lives on through his music, which continues to resonate with audiences worldwide. Sharon’s reflection on their enduring bond serves as a poignant reminder of the lasting impact of true love and shared experiences, even in the face of loss.
