CAR UNDERWATER embarks on European tour with “Heaven In Hindsight”
There is a particular type of summer emo tune that sets the mood for a hot room or a road trip. Car Underwater seamlessly fits into this vibe with their track “Heaven In Hindsight,” similar to the style we discovered yesterday from 3 Dollars. Their new live video captures the essence of the track perfectly, filmed on a stage in Los Angeles.
Although Car Underwater is a newly formed band, the members are no strangers to the music scene. Lead vocalist Max Epstein (Photographic Memory, Wisp, Jane Remover), guitarist Sonny Foster, drummer Zach Capitti-Fenton (Photographic Memory, Wisp), bassist Nolan Nunes (Ghostmane), and Australian producer, keyboardist, and vocalist Darcy Baylis (Ninajirachi, daine, After) make up the talented lineup.
Their debut EP, “Dagger Breaks Window,” draws inspiration from the emotional energy of the mid-2000s scene. Influences from bands like From First To Last, Underoath, and Thursday shine through in the EP’s fast-paced arrangements, blending elements of the digital era with a hint of nostalgia.
“Heaven In Hindsight” not only comes with an official video but also a new live visual that showcases the juxtaposition of clean hooks and raw, emotional screams. The track captures the essence of the genre, combining catchy melodies with raw intensity that defines the emo style.
Car Underwater is set to embark on a busy week of shows across the UK and EU. Beginning with a performance at London’s Barfly, followed by shows at The Croft in Bristol and Boom in Leeds, the band is gearing up for an exciting tour. They will join Bring Me The Horizon at Manchester’s B.E.C. Arena for the live premiere of “Count Your Blessings,” with a lineup that includes Static Dress, Dying Wish, Rolo Tomassi, and more. The tour will conclude at Creepy Teepee Festival in Prague, promising an electrifying experience for fans.
