ChamSys makes an impact at Download Festival

The Download Festival saw impressive lighting designs on display across various stages thanks to ChamSys consoles. Lighting company ZigZag Lighting provided ChamSys desks to keep the Festival of House (FOH) stages fully equipped with lighting kits, excluding the Apex and Opus stages that were furnished by PRG and Siyan, respectively.

As the largest rock festival in the UK, Download Festival gathered over 100,000 rock fans who enjoyed a diverse lineup of music from both young and geographically diverse artists. Lighting designers (LDs) relied on ChamSys consoles for their versatility and intuitive layout to enhance the festival’s performances, ranging from nostalgic to surreal shows.

Throughout the festival, ChamSys consoles such as the MagicQ MQ500M Stadium Console and MagicQ MQ250M Stadium Console were utilized on various stages to run shows seamlessly. Whether it was the Avalanche Stage 3, Dogtooth Stage 4, The Den, Ace of Spades, Hellfire, The Outpost, or the Doghouse on the District X stage, ChamSys consoles proved to be reliable and flexible for different setups.

Touring rigs at the festival also featured ChamSys consoles, with lighting designers using various models like the MQ80, Mini Connect, and Stadium Connect for different performances. Artists like Social Distortion, Decapitated, Cypress Hill, RĂ˜RY, and The Pretty Wreckless had their performances enhanced by ChamSys consoles, showcasing the flexibility and reliability of these lighting solutions.
