Singer of “Party Rock Anthem” and G.R.L., Lauren Bennett, Passes Away at Age 37
Lauren Bennett, a talented British vocalist recognized for her performance on LMFAO’s chart-topping track “Party Rock Anthem” and one of the original members of the female band G.R.L., has passed away at the age of 37.
In a heartfelt statement shared on Instagram, Bennett’s G.R.L. colleagues, Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton, and Paula van Oppen, confirmed her passing. The exact cause of Bennett’s death has not been disclosed as of yet.
“With profound sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved Lauren,” the trio expressed. “Our hearts ache, and we struggle to convey the magnitude of her impact. Bennett’s foray into the music industry commenced in 2006 on the third season of the U.K. edition of The X Factor, although she exited the competition just before the live shows.
The subsequent year, she was enlisted to join Paradiso Girls, a girl band formed by Robin Antin, the founder of the Pussycat Dolls. The group, consisting of Bennett and four other members, aimed to create innovative music and captivate audiences with their catchy tunes and high-energy performances.
