U2 has just released the full video for their latest song, “Street of Dreams,” with production credits going to Jacknife Lee. The track provides a glimpse into the band’s upcoming album, which remains unnamed.

Having worked on notable U2 projects such as 2004’s “How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb” and the collaborative single “The Saints Are Coming” with Green Day in 2007, Lee’s involvement in “Street of Dreams” adds to his impressive resume. Additionally, he took on the role of musical director during Bono’s Stories of Surrender tour from 2022 to 2023.

Following their 2023 standalone release of “Atomic City,” “Street of Dreams” marks U2’s return with new material. In the interim period, the band treated fans to two EPs – “Days of Ash” in February on Ash Wednesday and “Easter Lily” in April for Easter. Their most recent full-length album, Songs of Experience, was succeeded by Songs of Surrender in 2023, which featured reimagined versions of older songs.

Undoubtedly, the filming of the “Street of Dreams” video on a school bus adorned with graffiti by Mexican artist Chavis Mármol was a standout moment. Interestingly, this shoot marked drummer Larry Mullen’s second significant appearance post his recovery from neck surgery, a procedure that led him to miss the band’s Las Vegas residency from 2023-2024 titled U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere.

“I ignored my symptoms over a few years and just pushed through,” Mullen candidly shared with Rolling Stone. His experience underscored the importance of taking care of one’s body, as he acknowledged the inevitable consequences of neglecting his health. Despite his health challenges, Mullen was present during U2’s recognition at the Ivor Novello Awards in London in May 2025, where he temporarily yielded his drumming duties to Bram van den Berg in Las Vegas.

As fans eagerly anticipate the upcoming U2 album hinted at by “Street of Dreams,” the band’s resilience and commitment to quality music remain unwavering. With a rich discography and a dedicated fanbase, U2 continues to captivate audiences with their distinctive sound and enduring legacy in the music industry.
