The album, a collaborative effort with Evil Teen Records and Provogue/Artone Label Group, promises to be a breathtaking musical experience for listeners. The latest single from the 16-track collection, “Raven Black Night (Live),” showcases a stunning orchestral arrangement that adds a new dimension to the original Gov’t Mule track from their 1998 album Dose.

The reimagined version of “Raven Black Night” is a testament to the talent and artistry of Warren Haynes. Speaking about the arrangement, Haynes expressed his excitement about merging the song with “Silent Scream Pt. 2” and the incredible response from the orchestra. The full orchestration of the live version breathes new life into the track, transforming it into a complex and beautiful piece that differs from the stripped-down original recording.

“Dreams & Songs: A Symphonic Journey,” co-produced by Don Was and Warren Haynes, captures a special moment in time when Warren debuted his unique symphonic show alongside the Asheville Symphony Orchestra in 2019. The album features a star-studded lineup of musicians, including Oteil Burbridge, John Medeski, Jeff Sipe, Greg Osby, Edwin McCain, and Jasmine Muhammad. The recording, mixed by the esteemed Bob Clearmountain, showcases Warren’s extensive catalog spanning his illustrious 30+ year career.

To bring this musical opus to life, Warren enlisted a team of talented orchestral arrangers, each contributing their expertise to create bold new arrangements for the songs. With contributions from industry giants like David Campbell, Jim Gray, Tom Matta, Vince Mendoza, Sean O’Loughlin, and Chris Walden, the album promises a fresh take on classic tunes from Gov’t Mule, Allman Brothers Band, The Dead, and more.

In addition to “Raven Black Night,” Warren has teased fans with orchestral renditions of the Grateful Dead favorite “Shakedown Street” and the Mule hit “Banks of the Deep End.” The live album offers a comprehensive exploration of Warren’s musical legacy, showcasing his versatility and creativity in reimagining familiar tunes with orchestral flair.

Since its debut in Asheville in 2019, the Dreams & Songs Symphonic Experience has captivated audiences across the country.
