The iconic rock band has unveiled that its seventh studio album, titled Pendulum, will hit the shelves on October 30. The announcement coincided with the release of the album’s lead single, “Want It,” now available on various streaming platforms.

Fuel took to Instagram to share the exciting news with their fans, posting: “‘Want It’ is out now. 🔥 Our seventh studio album, Pendulum, arrives October 30. Guitarist Carl Bell expressed the band’s constant pursuit of improvement when speaking with Guitar Thrills in 2021, stating, “You’re always trying to outdo your last record, trying to outdo yourself, trying to write the best songs you can write. At the end of the day, it’s about the songs.” This commitment to artistic growth has been a driving force behind Fuel’s success as they continue to captivate audiences.

Fuel rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with a series of chart-topping rock hits that played a pivotal role in shaping the post-grunge era. Tracks like “Shimmer,” “Hemorrhage (In My Hands),” “Bad Day,” “Falls on Me,” and “Won’t Back Down” dominated the airwaves, solidifying Fuel as one of the era’s most prominent rock groups. Among these hits, “Hemorrhage (In My Hands)” stands out as the band’s signature track, spending an impressive 12 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart and becoming a timeless rock anthem of the early 2000s.

Reflecting on his songwriting process, Bell emphasized the importance of drawing from personal experiences, noting, “If you write about what happened to you and what has happened in your life, it kind of comes through in a song and people will understand that.” This personal touch is evident in Fuel’s music, resonating with fans and contributing to their enduring popularity.

Despite changes in its lineup over the years, Fuel has remained dedicated to creating new music and thrilling audiences with their live performances. The announcement of Pendulum signifies the band’s ongoing commitment to pushing boundaries and expanding their musical horizons, proving that they are more than just a nostalgic throwback but a vibrant force in modern rock.

With “Want It” offering a glimpse of what’s to come on the new album, fans can look forward to Fuel’s next chapter in music. As Pendulum hits the shelves this autumn, it will mark yet another milestone for a band that has stood the test of time since the early 1990s.
