In their latest creative offering, French noise band GLIITCH has unveiled a haunting music video for their track ‘Dark Dancer’ from the forthcoming EP ‘A Fire Inside’, set to release on May 23.

The video is set within the eerie confines of Château de Fougeret, famed as the most haunted castle in France. Guitarist and vocalist Emmanel Castel explains that the filming process spanned both day and night, capturing two starkly contrasting atmospheres. The narrative unfolds the tale of Alice, a former resident of the castle who continues to haunt the premises.

The sonic landscape of the song ‘Dark Dancer’ mirrors its visual counterpart, enveloping listeners in a slow, dark ambiance propelled by heavy guitar riffs and an echoing rhythmic undertone. While drawing influence from noise rock and 90s grunge, notably Sonic Youth and Fugazi, GLIITCH injects a unique essence through atmospheric textures and storytelling elements.

GLIITCH, birthed in 2023 following the disbandment of their previous project, DONE, has swiftly carved a niche within France’s underground rock scene with their raw, high-octane live performances. Their debut EP, ‘A Fire Inside’, was meticulously crafted at Quiet Noise Inc Studio and showcases eight tracks, including iconic numbers like ‘Shizo’, ‘Tantrum’, and the closing piece ‘Matt. C (Last Walk In The Marsh)’.

For enthusiasts of loud, energy-infused music, GLIITCH promises a musical journey worth embarking on with their upcoming EP release.
