Polish death metal icons Vader have announced a special release to mark the 25th anniversary of their fourth studio album, Litany. This iconic album will be reissued on vinyl, offering fans the opportunity to experience the brutal riffs in a new and revised format on this physical medium. Collaborating with Wojtek Wieslawski of the Hertz Recording Studio for the remastering process, Vader ensures that the essence of Litany is preserved in this reissue.

Reflecting on the album, Vader’s frontman and guitarist Piotr Wiwczarek shared insights about Litany, describing it as the band’s fastest and most brutal record to date. Commemorating this milestone, Wiwczarek emphasized the potency of the album’s intense energy and invited fans to delve into the world of Litany with a disclaimer that they do so at their own risk. This reissue serves as a platform for Vader to revisit some tracks that have not been performed live since the early 2000s, with some tracks even making their debut on stage.

The 25th-anniversary edition of Litany on vinyl will include a 16-page booklet featuring liner notes written by Piotr Wiwczarek, providing fans with additional insights into the making of the album. Metal Blade Records will be releasing the vinyl edition on June 6, offering various options for fans to choose from, including standard black vinyl and limited-edition colored variants like clear violet marbled, clear gold splatter, blue-black splatter, and golden brown marbled vinyl.

In addition to the vinyl release, Vader will kick off a summer tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Litany. The tour will feature special performances showcasing tracks from the album, giving fans a chance to experience the power of Litany live on stage. The tour will commence with a Litany show premiere at the Mystic Festival in Gdańsk, Poland, followed by several other dates across Europe, including performances at festivals like the Resurrection Fest in Spain, RockHarz Fest in Germany, and Summer Breeze Open Air in Dinkelsbühl, Germany.

Fans can secure their tickets for the upcoming tour dates, which span across various countries in Europe, ensuring that Vader’s celebration of Litany’s 25th anniversary reaches audiences far and wide. With this reissue and tour, Vader continues to captivate audiences with their unrelenting energy and uncompromising sound, reaffirming their status as legends in the realm of death metal music.
