This year’s Nova Rock 2025 ended with a high-energy performance by Electric Callboy on Saturday evening. It marked a significant transition for the band, which had previously played afternoon slots at the festival but had now stepped up to the main stage. The German trancecore group closed the festival with a mix of intense moshing, energetic beats, and a touch of humor.

Preceding Electric Callboy, Wanda took to the stage, delighting the audience with their infectious tunes and catchy lyrics. The crowd enthusiastically participated, singing along to their popular hits. Against the backdrop of excellent summer weather, Nova Rock 2025 wrapped up on a high note.

Electric Callboy’s performance at Nova Rock 2025 was nothing short of electrifying. The vocal duo, Nico Sallach, and Kevin Ratajczak, effortlessly got the crowds moving from the get-go with their song “Elevator Operator.” The fusion of synth melodies and heavy guitar riffs ignited a frenzy that persisted throughout their hour-and-a-half set. The band members expressed their disbelief at sharing the stage with renowned acts like Korn and Slipknot, acknowledging the significant strides they had made in recent years through their dedication to their craft.

Wanda’s set provided a stark contrast to Electric Callboy’s high-octane performance. Coming after the lively act of German rapper Alligatoah, Wanda’s performance exuded an air of love and inclusivity. The Viennese band delivered a powerful message of unity through their music, captivating the audience with songs like “Bologna,” “Ich will Schnaps,” and “Columbo.” Wanda showcased their versatility by seamlessly covering Nirvana, showcasing the band’s broad musical range and ability to engage even the toughest of metal fans.

Idles also left a lasting impression on the festival-goers with their charismatic stage presence and raw post-punk sound. Although their audience turnout was relatively modest, the band’s performance was rife with infectious energy and raw emotion, culminating in a memorable festival moment.

Dragonforce brought a flurry of high-speed metal to the Red Stage, complete with elaborate stage props and an eclectic repertoire of covers. With an enthusiastic response from the audience, the band’s guitarist Herman Li highlighted the sheer fun and enjoyment that a Dragonforce show brings, emphasizing the inclusive nature of heavy metal music.

The Red Bull Stage featured Adept, who made a triumphant return to the festival scene after a six-year hiatus. The band’s thrilling performance was met with enthusiasm, hinting at potential new releases in the future. Halflives, a standout act on the Bull Stage, delivered a dynamic performance infused with elements of alternative and pop rock, captivating the audience with their modern yet versatile sound.

As the festival drew to a close, Danko Jones took the stage as the headliner, capping off an exhilarating weekend of music and performances at Nova Rock 2025. With a diverse lineup catering to a wide range of musical tastes, the festival undoubtedly left a lasting impression on attendees and performers alike.
