’70s rock band reuniting with original lead singer Lou Gramm for new tour

Foreigner, a renowned rock band that soared to fame in the 1970s and 1980s, has delighted fans with the news of reuniting with their original lead singer, Lou Gramm, for an upcoming tour. Scheduled for release on Sept. 12, the band will also drop a new album, Foreigner 4 Deluxe, to commemorate their 50th anniversary. This deluxe edition promises an array of unreleased songs, alternate versions, instrumentals, and live performances from the band’s iconic 1981 album, “4,” known for hits like “Urgent,” “Waiting For a Girl Like You,” “Juke Box Hero,” “Break It Up,” and “Luanne.”

Mick Jones, the band’s founding member, expressed his sentiments about the recording process for the album, emphasizing how it consumed two years of dedication to achieve the desired perfection. He credited the collaborative effort of himself, Lou, Rick, and Dennis, along with producer Mutt Lange, for creating something truly extraordinary. The extensive package of Foreigner 4 Deluxe will include a Blu-ray package with a wealth of content, such as early and alternate song versions, along with live recordings from the band’s 1981 and 1982 4 World Tour.

The digital version will not lag behind, offering fans alternate song versions, instrumentals, and live performances from the same era. The band members expressed their excitement about the reunion with Lou Gramm, having recently enjoyed performing with him in Mexico and South America.
