New footage captures Charlie Kirk assassin’s bold getaway following conservative activist’s murder

A recent video release by the FBI showcases the individual of interest in the assassination of Charlie Kirk making a daring escape by jumping off his rooftop sniper position moments after fatally shooting the conservative activist on Wednesday.

The footage, originating from the Utah Valley University campus, was shared by investigative authorities during a press briefing on Thursday evening, where no new leads or arrests were reported. The video discloses the alleged assassin, clad in all black attire, navigating across the building’s rooftop, halting near the edge, descending to ground level, strolling through a parking area, and eventually heading towards a wooded section where he discarded the weapon.

Earlier photographs of the “person of interest” were publicized by the FBI on Thursday morning, depicting a young man dressed completely in black, adorned with a cap sporting a triangular emblem, and a shirt illustrated with the American flag and an eagle motif.

Amidst his abrupt escape, the individual left behind a palm print and other marks on the roof, which authorities believe could yield DNA evidence to facilitate in pinpointing the suspect. Law enforcement agencies reiterated their dependency on the public to aid in identifying the perpetrator, stressing the importance of tips and the $100,000 reward for assistance.

Since the incident, the FBI has been inundated with a considerable 7,000 tips relating to the assassination, setting a record since the aftermath of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing.

During one of his trademark “Prove Me Wrong” debates, Charlie Kirk suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the neck while at the university, which was the first stop on his American Comeback Tour, leading to his demise.

Footage from the event captured Kirk’s lifeless body as blood gushed from his neck before he toppled off his seat. In the chaos that ensued, attendees, fans, and protesters alike scattered in panic, and Kirk was swiftly transported by his security team to an off-campus medical facility where he succumbed to his injuries.

A vocal supporter of prominent political figures such as President Trump and Vice President JD Vance, Kirk’s family and associates have been overwhelmed with an outpouring of emotions and condolences. Trump, in particular, announced plans to honor Kirk posthumously with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
