Chief Meteorologist Devon Lucie arrested for Domestic Abuse charges

Tulsa, Little Rock, Kansas City, Denver, and Salt Lake City. In a statement on WDSU’s website, they mentioned that Lucie has been placed on leave while the investigation is ongoing.

The incident unfolded when deputies were called to a residence in Marrero in response to a disturbance. A woman present at the scene revealed that she had faced physical violence at the hands of Lucie, her partner of four years. The altercation reportedly started at a festival in Gretna, where Lucie abandoned her without transportation. Upon her return home, the argument escalated, leading to the physical altercation. She disclosed that due to not having a key, she had to use a tool to enter the house.

The woman recounted that while she was in her bed, Lucie came into the bedroom and assaulted her. She claimed that they engaged in a physical altercation where she defended herself against Lucie’s aggression. Deputies noted several injuries on the woman’s body, including cuts, scratches, and welts on her upper body, forehead, and face. She informed the authorities that her two children were present during the altercation, asleep on a sofa in the living room.

During the investigation, Lucie reportedly refused to cooperate with law enforcement by withholding his name and date of birth and refusing to get dressed. After being examined by WJMC EMS, Lucie was informed of his rights before being taken to the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center for processing.

Originally from Macomb in Western, Illinois, Lucie has established his career in various locations such as Las Vegas, Washington, D.C., Tulsa, Little Rock, Kansas City, Denver, and Salt Lake City. WDSU addressed the situation by confirming that Lucie has been placed on leave until further notice.
