Popular K-pop Groups Set to Perform at Music Festival

Billboard recently released its World Albums chart for the week ending on January 3, showcasing a diverse array of K-pop talents dominating the top spots. Stray Kids maintained their strong presence, securing the first and second positions with their albums “DO IT” and “KARMA,” respectively. Notably, “DO IT” marked its fifth consecutive week within the top 30 on the Billboard 200, with “KARMA” achieving the feat of charting for 18 weeks, a first for Stray Kids.

Stray Kids showcased their musical prowess with a total of six entries charting on the World Albums chart this week. Alongside “DO IT” and “KARMA,” their albums “合 (HOP),” “ATE,” “★★★★★ (5-STAR),” and “ROCK-STAR” secured positions at No. 5, No. 14, No. 17, and No. 25, respectively. The longevity of these albums on the chart highlights Stray Kids’ enduring popularity and global appeal.

ENHYPEN, another rising K-pop group, made waves on the chart as well, with their album “DESIRE : UNLEASH” climbing to No. 4 after 30 weeks. Additionally, their 2024 release, “ROMANCE : UNTOLD,” demonstrated its staying power by securing the 20th spot in its 76th week on the chart.

CORTIS, with their debut EP “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES,” continued to impress at No. 6, while ILLIT’s “bomb” maintained its momentum at No. 7 in its 27th week. BOYNEXTDOOR’s “The Action” surged to No. 8, TXT’s “The Star Chapter: TOGETHER” climbed to No. 9, and BTS’s 2022 anthology album “Proof” claimed the 10th spot, solidifying their place as industry powerhouses.

BTS also saw success with their live album “PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LIVE,” re-entering the World Albums chart at No. 22. Meanwhile, TXT’s Yeonjun’s solo mini album “NO LABELS: PART 01” secured the 11th spot, with BTS’s Jimin’s solo album “MUSE” rising to No. 15.

ZEROBASEONE’s “NEVER SAY NEVER” made a significant leap to No. 16, while NewJeans’ “Get Up” maintained a strong position at No. 19. The remarkable achievements of these artists on the World Albums chart reflect the vibrancy and creativity of the K-pop industry.
