Amazon announces cast for Tomb Raider, reveals roles for Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs

The highly anticipated Amazon Tomb Raider series, spearheaded by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is making significant progress to bring the beloved video game character Lara Croft back to the screen. The cast for the series has been officially confirmed, featuring some iconic names in the industry.

Familiar faces like Sigourney Weaver from Alien and Avatar and Jason Isaacs known for his role as Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter will join Sophie Turner, who was previously announced as playing Lara Croft. Weaver’s character, Evelyn Wallis, is a new addition to the series and is described as a mysterious and ambitious woman looking to exploit Lara’s unique abilities. On the other hand, Isaacs will take on the role of Atlas DeMornay, Lara’s uncle, an established character within the franchise.
