In 2023, The Highmarts, a three-piece band from Japan, had the opportunity to perform for the first time in Europe. This spring, they are making a return with shows scheduled in France and Italy. The tour, facilitated by Rockin’ Dogs, a French tour organization, comprises ten shows, including an appearance at the renowned French Cosmic Trip Festival.

Described as ‘the future of Japan garage rock’ by Tokyo Weekender, The Highmarts originated ten years ago in 2013 when the band’s members were still in junior high school. Fronted by Suzu, the guitarist and vocalist who has been part of the group since its inception, this Tokyo-based trio draws inspiration from the rock music of the 1960s, particularly group sounds, and the punk music of the 1970s.

At the conclusion of 2025, The Highmarts released a live album titled “Live At The U.F.O. Club,” exclusively available on major streaming platforms. This album, recorded during the summer of 2025 at the presentation of their 7-inch single “All I Want Is Say You Love Me,” features Suzu on guitar and vocals, Minori on drums, and original bass player Shiori.

Their upcoming tour through France and Italy includes performances at various venues between 14th and 23rd May 2026. These dates entail appearances at well-known music hubs such as Le Bateau Ivre in Tours, France, the Cosmic Trip Festival in Bourges, France, La Maroquinerie in Paris, France, Le Molotov in Marseille, France, Trinita in Genova, Italy, and several other locations across Italy.

By returning to Europe for this extended tour, The Highmarts are creating opportunities for their international fan base to experience their dynamic live performances and unique blend of garage rock. With a decade of experience under their belt, this trio has honed their craft and is ready to captivate audiences once again with their energetic and authentic sound. Join them on their journey through France and Italy as they bring the spirit of Japanese rock music to audiences across Europe.
