Guns N’ Roses’ debut album, “Appetite for Destruction,” has made a resurgence on three different Billboard charts this week. The album, which was released in 1987, has secured the 188th spot on the Billboard 200 chart, as well as the 11th position on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart and 47th on the Top Rock and Alternative Albums chart.

During the recent tracking period, “Appetite for Destruction” sold 9,650 equivalent units, with over 1,200 physical copies sold according to data from Luminate, as reported by Forbes. The band, which originated in Los Angeles in 1985, became well-known for hits like “Sweet Child o’ Mine” and “Welcome to the Jungle.” Since its initial release, the album has spent an impressive 261 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart.

The album is on the brink of reaching 100 total weeks on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart, with just three more weeks to go. Additionally, ten more appearances will push it to a total of 100 weeks on the Top Rock and Alternative Albums chart. Among the thirteen albums that reentered the Billboard 200 this week, “Appetite for Destruction” ranks tenth. It follows behind Michael Jackson’s “Number Ones,” which took the lead at number 18, as well as Alice in Chains’ self-titled album at 83, and Bad Bunny’s “YHLQMDLG” at 90.

Guns N’ Roses’ latest single, “Nothin’,” has broken into the top 10 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, rising from 12 to 10. The track has also climbed two spots on the Rock and Alternative Airplay list, claiming the 21st position. The band has released several singles in the past decade that are not associated with any specific album, leaving fans speculating whether a new album is in the works.

The iconic track “Sweet Child O’ Mine” continues to make waves on three different Billboard charts. It has soared to the 15th position on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart and has seen a significant increase in rankings on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts.

Having maintained its status as one of the most successful hard rock albums ever released, “Appetite for Destruction” has made a strong comeback nearly 40 years after Guns N’ Roses first emerged. The band is gearing up to tour Europe and the Americas this year, with a full list of dates available on their official website.
