The Amity Affliction’s upcoming album, “House Of Cards,” is set to unveil on April 24th and the band has unveiled a new track titled “Heaven Sent” as a teaser. Vocalist Joel Birch shared that the song delves into dark themes, drawing inspiration from childhood trauma tied to abusive incidents involving his stepfather and mother. The emotional turmoil portrayed in the song mirrors the traumatic experiences faced during Birch’s formative years.
Following the departure of bassist/vocalist Ahren Stringer, The Amity Affliction has enlisted Jonny Reeves of Kingdom Of Giants to take over bass and vocal responsibilities for the album. Despite the split not being amicable, the band and Stringer are tied together due to financial obligations. The band is gearing up to embark on a co-headlining North American tour with August Burns Red, with support from Boundaries, HEAVENSGATE, and Dreamwake.
